Is it possible to save costs using anti set off powder?
You might think this is an odd question, but in fact, it isn’t when you actually think about it. Anti Set Off powder is one of those almost invisible products we use in the Pressroom. A thing no one really thinks about, but in reality, low-quality powders can have a detrimental effect on the hidden costs that impact a business. For example, a powder that is not listed as Extra/Ultra Low Dust can often have up to 33% particles that are classified as “dust”.
Increased Wear and Tear
A large proportion of the dust contained in the powders that are not listed as Extra/Ultra Low Dust is not carried away on the printed sheet but collects in the delivery of your press; thus getting into moving parts, motors, chains and gears. Therefore resulting in more frequent wear and tear repairs due to the abrasive nature of the dust particles. Usage of such powders is much higher than we think because only 67% of the product is the correct size so the cheap price tag doesn’t work out when you consider that a mere 2% of Archem PRS powder has particles classified as “dust”, meaning that our line of products is genuine value for money.
